Well, here’s a nice alternative to hostels: Ju Peng, a 19-year-old Shanghai student backpacking through China, has put up an ad online offering to have sex with any man in exchange for free lodgings. Good news, college seniors: You no longer have to hit up your parents for cash to finance that backpacking trip across Europe!
According to the blog Gap Year, Peng put up an ad on the Chinese social network Weibo looking for “temporary boyfriends” to assist her during her travels. She does, however, have a few requirements: Prospective hosts must be “good looking, under 30, taller than 1.75 meters [about five feet nine inches] and, of course, rich.” Try typing that into Student Universe and seeing what you come up with.
If you fit this criteria, and you’re looking to take up Ju Peng on her offer, be warned: You won’t just have to give her a spot on your couch (or on your penis, as the case may be.) According to her ad, you’ll also have to pay for her transportation from city to city, and you’ll also have to pay for her meals.
This sounds like a pretty good deal for both Peng and her hosts, but not everyone is happy about it. Many Weibo users are outraged, likening her travel plans to prostitution (which, of course, it totally is), with one user commenting, “If she was taking cash we’d all know what to call her. This is a disgusting way to carry on.” Dude, you might think it’s disgusting, but clearly it’s successful: Peng says she’s already financed a tour of eastern China using these methods. Get it, girl.

Update: According to China Topix, this story was created to promote the Chinese dating app Youjia, which is similar to Tinder. China’s State Internet Information Office is reportedly investigating the app’s parent company, on the grounds that the story contained “fake and unethical content.”
