As someone who just got married, I have mixed feelings about engagement photos. On one hand, taking engagement photos resulted in the first and only time my husband and I had nice photos of ourselves. But on the other hand, it feels a little weird staging cute poses or, worse, indulging in a “theme.”

But not all of us can be as adorable as this Florida couple, who decided to show off their love via their favorite cult workout—Crossfit.

These crazy kids are both trainers, but even if they weren’t, these photos make some sense, symbolically. Marriage, after all, is work. What better way to represent your enduring commitment to self-betterment, mutual support, and slammin’ abs than kissing while doing pushups inside a tire and doing handstands with incredibly poor form that may actually wind up ruining your shoulders OMG CROSSFIT PEOPLE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE

In truth, these photos aren’t that much different from the zombie run, Superman, Star Trek, or plenty of other gimmicky engagement shoots out there. Maybe the blame should lie with the Wedding Industrial Complex, for making couples believe they not only have to have engagement photos, but that they have to be cute and original and “personal.”

Or maybe we’re just jealous. This couple is fit, beautiful, and has achieved what society has deemed to be the most important social milestone. You do you, Crossfit Couple. You do you.
