If you thought the villains of Suicide Squad were rather stab-happy, just wait until you meet the Fellowship of the Ring.
Remove the mission to bring the One Ring to Mordor from Lord of the Rings and you get a trilogy that’s pretty much full of orc-stabbing and witty one-liners. Elrond is clearly the Amanda Waller of this universe, as he gathers the best group of wizards, humans, elves, dwarves, and Hobbits—which is to say, the only people foolish enough to volunteer—to kill all of the Orcs.
While we may hesitate to re-edit the LOTR trilogy again, we’d definitely watch this movie. At the very least, it finally gives Gimli the spotlight he so rightly deserves.
