‘Jupiter Ascending’ reimagined as a ’70s sci-fi romance

By now, we should all be able to agree on two things about Jupiter Ascending. First of all, it’s massively underrated. Second, it’s a wish-fulfillment fantasy for teen girls, which is why so many people were puzzled by its lack of traditional hero tropes.

The latter of these two points is what makes this fan-made trailer so awesome. It reimagines Jupiter Ascending as a ’70s sci-fi movie called Cinderella 2000, complete with a corny voiceover and a behind-the-scenes clip to prove how amazing its special effects are going to be.

Sadly, the person who made this trailer may have understood Jupiter Ascending better than its own marketing team. Cinderella 2000, indeed.
